phpBB Invitation Only Mod [update]

This is a minor update for the phpBB3 invitation only mod.

For current users that have it installed you only need to change out the template ucp_add_user.html
The UMIL package is also updated to the latest.

Update your original package

  • Replace the ucp_add_user.html
  • Delete the old umil and replace it with the new one.
  • Replace the ucp_add_user_installer.php (Not on the live site, this should have been deleted)

The only major change is the verifiedby field is changed to just text instead of a form input field.
The above instructions are also included.

phpBB3 Custom Pages

Making Basic Additional pages in PhpBB3 is fairly easy if you follow these instructions.

There are 3 basic files needed

  • HTML template
  • your php file, goes in the root of the forum
  • language definition file php

Lets start with the template

open notepad or a code editor of your choice (NOT WORD, OR ANY MS PRODUCT)

phpBB3 Spam Killer

Just a little update on this slick phpBB3 Mod.
Changing the name up a little bit from Auto Ban to phpBB3 Spam Killer – Auto Ban Mod.

This mod is an actual spam killer :)

Watch this quick video and see how fast and easy Spam Killer works to clean up a phpBB3 forum after a spammer has left his mark.


Some things that I was pointing out was the Signature, Website, and number of posts and replies this spammer made.
All topics and replies were moved to the Trash, on the profile page you notice the Signature and users website link is gone.
I know this video has a fast pace and maybe hard to follow at that speed, but that is how fast this mod works for killing spam.

phpBB3 Spam Killer - Auto Ban

This is an One Shot Auto Ban feature for the phpBB3 ACP.

It puts a link on the users profile [ Auto Ban User ] for admins to use or use it directly in the ACP.

Clicking it brings you to a page that when submitted ,

Bans Username,
Bans IP,
Bans Email,
Clears PM Outbox,
Removes Website link from profile,
Removes Signature,
Adds the user to a predefined User Group
Moves all posts and topics by the user to a predefined forum.
